Quality Health Care in a Primary Care Setting

A recent article in Forbes shares that 75 percent of medical services for the average patient can be provided in a primary care physician’s office. The article is titled With Direct Primary Care, Health Care Doesn't Have to Be Expensive, and it shares these eye-opening statistics:

  • Primary care physicians who use the insurance model are spending 40 percent of practice revenue on staff who are dealing with insurance claims. (At Rock Hill Primary Care, that office expense doesn’t exist and the savings are passed on to you.)
  • Direct primary care practices can typically break even after seeing an average of four patients per day. Primary care physicians who use the insurance model need to see 32 patients to break even. So direct primary care = more time for you.
  • A study by the University of North Carolina’s medical school and by the university’s MBA students found that, at one direct primary care office, patients spent 85 percent less than at a traditional office. These patients saw their doctor for an average of 35 minutes each visit, rather than eight minutes, the average for doctors who use the insurance model.

Enroll with Rock Hill Primary Care today for higher quality medical care, numerous exams at no cost for you, and personalized attention. Or call us at 803-329-7425.

It helped when you shared that a primary care physician’s office can deliver 75 percent of medical assistance for the average patient. I think I will now opt for direct primary care whenever I encounter minor medical issues. Hopefully, I can find such a facility near my place for easy access.
